Unlike many Dungeon crawler games experience is awarded even if all of your champions die. In each battle a dead champion will gain as much experience as a surviving one. Thus if only two champions are assigned and win a stage, each will gain twice as much experience as if four champions were assigned.

For any given stage the type of artifact is set though it's quality is 'random,' within set parameters.Įxperience is divided among all your participating champions. The prize pool consists of materiel rewards (artifacts/champions/shards).

At nightmare difficulty the costs are 16 and 18 energy.įor successfully completing a stage your champions receive a fixed amount of experience and silver fixed to that stage and a 'random' reward chosen from a set prize pool.

At brutal difficulty the costs are 8 and 9 energy. At hard difficulty the costs are 6 and 7 energy, respectively.

At normal difficulty any stage has a cost of 4 energy, except for the boss stage with a cost of 5 energy.

The 7th stage is the campaign boss stage.

A one star result is sufficient for a stage to be considered 'cleared' allowing access to the next.

A three star result requires that you win the stage with just a two champion team and lose neither during the battle. A two star result requires that all of your party members are still alive at the end of the battle. For the most part, just 'clearing' the stage gives a 1-star result.

There are three star ratings associated with each stage of each location.

'Clearing' each stage grants access to the next stage, clearing the final stage grants access to the first stage of the next location.Ĭlearing all 12 locations on one difficulty level allows access to the first stage of the first location of the next level of difficulty.

Each location is comprised of 7 stages.

The campaign crosses 12 different campaign locations.

The main campaign, when played through for the first time, uses cut scenes to explain the history of Telaria and the roots of the current conflict.
